Your New Purse MUST HAVE

I've already swooned about this a little bit here, but I thought it was high time to elaborate and get you all as excited as I am about this product. The bareMinerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm has a permanent reservation in my purse. I'm telling you, it will live there until it's time for a replacement, meaning I've scraped every last bit of it out of the tube.

Let's talk details. These tubes of hydration come in 8 different colors. They are a hybrid of an oil and balm that provides a perfect combination of moisture, color, and shine. I don't even want to call it shine. They market it as a shine, but I would call it a sheen. Basically, it does not shine like a lipgloss, if that's what you're concerned about.

As it wears, it creates a beautiful lightweight stain on the lips that lasts even after you've wiped your lip color off. What does this mean? It means that after you eat that sandwich for lunch and have that feeling of lingering crumbs on your lips and wipe your mouth clean, your lips still have a hint of color!

In terms of color payoff, these oil-balms give your lips a beautiful color that mimics what you might find in an opaque lipgloss, minus that sticky lacquered feeling. You can swipe on one sheer layer of color or build it up a little bit. Because of the formulation, the color looks as if it has melted into your lips giving you that "my lips just happen to be this fabulous color naturally" look. I LOVE THAT!

I can put this on in the morning, have breakfast and notice that my lip color feels like it has worn off, and head to the bathroom to realize the following:

• My lips have a gorgeous stain left on them, so even though I can't feel the product anymore, those looking at me can still see it.
• I can refresh the color and not have that product build up issue that you get with lipgloss where it gets gunky and gross. You know the feeling. . . the one that makes you wipe all of your lip color off, put on fresh lip balm, and reapply everything again from scratch.
• My lips actually feel re-hydrated after swiping on some more!

And for $16?! Now that is my idea of affordable luxury for your lips! Skip the two lipsticks from the drugstore you "just threw in your basket to try", that will end up in a junk drawer after one awful swipe and get something you know will make your lips feel and look gorgeous!

Cover Girl: First Impressions

I haven't tried Cover Girl products in years but the other day I came across a coupon for Cover Girl products and thought this would be a good time to check out what's new.

The newest product that caught my eye was the LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm.

I chose the color Berry Twist and was really excited to try it out! I'm already a huge fan of Clinique Chubby Sticks and this looked like a similar product that was less than half the price. How could I resist???

This is how it physically compares to the Clinique Chubby Stick in Super Strawberry.

Here are some basic stats:

• It is quoted to provide, "sheer color, soft shine."
• Currently values at drugstores (I got mine at Walmart) for under $7.00 (even less with a coupon!)
• Odorless

It's so amazing! The little babies have an SPF 20 and hydrate your lips while adding beautiful color at the same time.

I'm known for carrying a handful (easily 5-7, no exaggeration) lip products in my purse at any given moment. What can I say? I like having choices and lip balm is a MUST HAVE if I'm going to apply any other lip product to my lips.

Am I the only one who doesn't feel like a human being if my lips are dry???

*Bonus: You can build the color by applying several swipes of these balms and you will WANT to reapply for the amazing smooth feeling they provide and the sweet fruity scent!






If you want a simple colorless lip balm, choose Quenched.

I keep one on my "beauty shelf" (yes I have a shelf for all my beauty products you need. . . . lip balm, lotion, qtips, that sort of thing) so I can easily swipe it on in the morning after brushing my teeth and right before going to bed at night. *I also keep one in the car!

Just imagine, a toasted hazelnut dropped into melted chocolate, enclosed by a light crispy wafer and that dipped into chocolate to form a ball and finally sprinkled with tiny bits of hazelnuts on the outside. All in a shiny gold wrapper.

THAT is the beauty of the Ferrero Rocher. I LOVE THESE! Hands down my absolute favorite candy or chocolate choice in the world. Nothing else can replace these. The combination of hazelnuts and chocolate is something that draws me in as many forms as possible, but no one does is quite like this! They are sold in small packs of 3 (perfect stocking stuffer!) as well as larger quantities. I got a pack of 15, which are in my little candy tin pictured above, left. These are candies I DO NOT share!

Well ok. . . maybe I share with just a few select people, but only 1 per customer!

Find them anywhere, WalMart, Target, BJs (for larger quantities) and many grocery store check-out aisles.
